rolling out of bed was the new thing for rosie. she was always hung over. last nights adventures left her hungover and in the house of a stranger. pushing herself out of his bed she grabbed her clothes and slipped them on quietly. she needed to get out before he woke up and offered her some sort of food or coffee. rosie was awkward when it came to those situations. heading out his door towards the front door she stopped in the living room. looking at a picture of the man she had slept with, what appeared to be his sisters and his family. they looked happy. they were laughing. this sent a pain through her heart. rosie hadnt spoken or seen her family for a few years. shaking her head she headed towards the door.
walking out into the sunlight her headache raged on. rosie walked down the sidewalk, hugging her arms against her body, looking at her feet. now she was in a horrid mood. reaching her house she unlocked the front door. being greeted by her dog rosie slid on the floor in front of the shut door. her puppy sat next to her and rosie stroked it. youre my only family now she let out softly and looked at the dog who seemed to smile at her. rosie felt warm inside. she kissed its head and stood up. heading into her room she took her clothes off and replaced them with a bathing suit and a white button up shirt. on her feet instead of black heals she put on white flip flops.
grabbing her purse, she decided to leave everything else at home. she headed out the door and got into her car. heading towards the docks, rosie needed to be in peace for a while. opening the convertible top to her little red jetta she continued to drive towards the docks. stopping at a few lights she lit up a cigarette, flicking its ashes out the windows she hit the gas at every green light and sped off. finally reaching the docks she parked. putting the roof up she got out and flicked her cigarette out. heading to the docks she walked on them. going to the empty one she reached the end, laying out her towel she took off her white shirt and flip flops and layed on her stomach, closing her eyes. the sound of the waves hitting the dock was calming. soon rosie found herself asleep.
